Parish May Crowning
On Sunday, May 11th, we celebrate all mothers and our Blessed Mother as we crown the statue of Mary at the 10 a.m. Mass. Everyone is invited to bring flowers and to carry them forward in procession at the announced time before we recite the Creed. All First Communicants from this year and last year are invited to wear their First Communion dresses and attire again and to participate in the entrance procession of the Mass as they strew flower petals - little bags with flower petals will be provided. Boys who received First Communion are invited to serve as pages in the procession. Middle school girls are also invited to carry a lantern in the procession (lanterns will be provided).
Mothers’ Day Blessing and EPS Roses
To celebrate Mothers’ Day, there is a special blessing for mothers at the end of our Masses this weekend, May 10-11. After these Masses, the Knights of Columbus will offer red roses in exchange for a $5 donation to Essential Pregnancy Services - give a rose to your mother, grandmother, or godmother, and help mothers in need at the same time!
