The First Sunday of Advent
Advent Vespers & Potluck
This Sunday, we begin the holy season of Advent, to prepare for the coming of Our Lord Jesus at Christmas. All are invited to Advent Vespers Sunday, Nov. 30th at 4:00 pm in St. Philip Neri Church, followed by a potluck meal in the Parish Center (church basement).
The Christmas Family Giving Tree is now up in the church near the St. Joseph altar. The baby crib is near the Blessed Mother's altar for donations for the Advent Baby Shower for Bethlehem House. Donations may be left in the church or dropped off at the parish office.
We will have a second collection for our parishes' St. Vincent de Paul Society at Masses this weekend. Please be generous to assist those in need in our parish and neighborhood.
Archbishop Michael McGovern is encouraging us to
pray Compline, or Night Prayer, from the Liturgy of the Hours during Advent as a simple way to prepare our hearts for Christmas. Here is a link for a video message from our Archbishop:

Have a blessed weekend and beginning of Advent! Stay safe in the snowy and cold weather. Please see the bulletin and Advent and Christmas flyer for more announcements and events.
God bless,
St. Philip Neri-Blessed Sacrament Parish
