Mass for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is this Saturday, August 15th. It is NOT a Holy Day of Obligation this year, as it falls on a Saturday. We will celebrate the Assumption of Our Lady at the Saturday 5:00 p.m. Mass in English at Holy Name Church. This Mass will also fulfill our Sunday Mass obligation.
Safe Environment Training/Recertification
With our parish festivals on the horizon and our schools and other activities beginning, all adults who will have any contact with children or vulnerable adults, i.e., adult volunteers for festivals, catechesis, chaperones, coaches, liturgical ministers, ushers, funeral luncheons, etc., must be Safe Environment certified through our archdiocesan process. Religious Education Program Registration
We are now accepting registrations for our 2026/2027 Religious Education Program until August 28th. Classes will be on Wednesday evenings in the Saint Philip Neri Catholic School building. Please contact the Holy Name or St. Philip Neri parish office to register. If you are interested in being a catechist or classroom helper, please contact Monica Valles, our director of Religious Education for children.
